Growing Up

As a child, my motivation to earn money was simple and self-centered: I craved the joy of purchasing toys for myself. Today, that desire has matured into a deeper, more selfless ambition—to build a life of financial security that allows my parents the dignity of a restful retirement. This evolution in mindset is illustrated through the symbolic use of Monopoly, a game synonymous with childhood and aspirations of wealth. The visual narrative adopts the aesthetic of a crayon-textured coloring book, evoking innocence and imagination. Cast as the "Monopoly man" myself, I am shown gently leading my parents by the arm, guiding them toward a luminous future just beyond the frame. This imagery captures the emotional weight of my transformation: from a child seeking personal gratification to an adult striving to create generational comfort and freedom.
